Sheldon Bogos, IT Project Manager, PMP with Lighthouse Electric discusses an attack on the company that happened on a recent Saturday afternoon by the Russian Threat Actor RansomHub. CISA documentation indicates this TA came onto the cyber scene in early 2024. An entire team of internal and external experts jumped into action over the course of the weekend. While Lighthouse Electric did not have a specific IRP created, their attorneys and forensic analysts did. With their guidance, they executed a whole series of critical actions and steps and were able to identify what was impacted, how they were breached, how the threat actor proliferated their network, how they addressed the attack and attacker, and ultimately the go-forward steps they took.
